Writing as a break from everyday life

Because the crazy routine asks for a time off

I decided I’d write daily. I set a goal and I did it for 30 days. Just writing, no editing. Ok, I came up with many good ideas, but I think it’s time to make things different.

I can’t sit down every day to write, for now. I’m still adapting to the new routine as a working mom. Sleep, eat, work and prepare everything for the baby are not fully on track yet. I took a break of writing for two weeks but I missed it so much, I decided to try to make it weekly instead.

Writing is a job, is a profession. Writing is also my break from everyday craziness. I’m thankful for the opportunity to write here, to express my thoughts and to relax from my week.

I hope I can have fun and easy texts to write soon. I’ll work on this. But for now, I guess I’m done!

These are the uninspired words from a tired mother on a Sunday night sitting by the baby’s crib while he falls asleep. These are also minimally edited, so please forgive any typos and mistakes. Comments on them, or on the subject of “being a mom and a writer and working full time” are all so welcome!
